MapleStory PATCH Release Notes v.99 - 7/25

Their new update is out, here are the patch notes straight from their website:

v. 99 - Chaos: Ice Knight Update Notes

New Content

Battle Mode - Ice Knight
Requirements: Lv.30 or higher
* Ice Knight is a new match type in Battle Mode, which takes place through Battle Square. Talk to Maximus to get there. He is in most towns.
* Talk to Crawson in Battle Square to compete in Ice Knight mode.
* Upon entering Ice Knight mode, one player will be chosen at random to be the Ice Knight.
* Players not chosen to be the Ice Knight will be placed on the same team to challenge the Ice Knight.
* You must have 10 players to begin an Ice Knight match.
* If the Ice Knight still lives after the 10 minute time limit ends, the Ice Knight wins.
* The Ice Knight has several unique powers. It cannot be knocked back and it can perform a double jump. It can perform more skills when it fills up its Ice Gauge.
* As the Ice Knight attacks enemies, the Ice Gauge will grow, represented by a number of slots. As it fills up, the Ice Knight can perform devastating skills:
- Ice Chop – Swing your frosty axe to attack multiple enemies and knock them back. Cost: 5 slots.
- Ice Smash – Raise your sword to attack many foes and freeze them. Cost: 20 slots.
- Ice Tempest – Cast an ice storm as an area-of-effect for continuous damage. Cost: 40 slots.
- Ice Panic – Chance to transform one or more enemies into snails. Cost: 60 slots.

Battle Mode Gameplay - also in Ice Knight mode
* Battles begin after the minimum number of participants has entered the map.
* To leave a battle map before a battle is over, click the Leave Room button that is located where the Cash Shop button normally is at the bottom of the screen.
* Different effects will appear depending on the damage.
* When your HP reaches 0, you will revive in the safe area and start the battle again after three seconds.
* You are restricted from using regular potions and other items in your inventory while in battle maps.
* Unique items regularly spawn in battle maps. Picking them up immediately uses them. There are lots of different items; most help you, but some can hinder you.
* Be careful of the Random Boxes, with the question marks on them. They can temporarily double the scores you earn, grant invincibility, transform you into a monster, or lower your HP or MP.
* Game rules, stats, and skills are modified.
